Lot 487: A Late 20th Century Musical Ballerina Jewelry Box, Dated 1981
A rectangular, hinged musical jewelry box, likely constructed from wood or a wood composite. The lid is adorned with a decal or print depicting a ballerina adjusting her pointe shoe, signed “Linda Norrell 1981” in the bottom left. An orange sticker with illegible text and a white sticker marked “8” are also present on the lid. The front features a decorative metal clasp. Internally, the box is lined with pink felt and houses a rotating plastic ballerina figure in front of a small triangular mirror. The box is filled with various pieces of costume jewelry, including several necklaces and earrings, some of which are on “wallis” brand tags, with one tag also stating “Matching Necklace Available.”
