OCTOBER SALE
Lot 219:
A collection of postage stamps presented in two philatelic albums or stock books. The first album contains a mix of international and commemorative stamps, featuring designs such as “EFYA,” royalty portraits, religious scenes, and ships, primarily spanning the mid-to-late 20th century. The second is a spiral-bound album predominantly displaying Great Britain definitive stamps, with a focus on the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, including legible dates “6.2.1952” (accession) and “1953” (coronation year). This album also includes earlier issues, notably from the reign of King Edward VIII (1936) and a 1948 stamp. Many stamps are marked “POSTAGE REVENUE” or “POSTAGE PAID” with various pence denominations. The reverse of the second album is marked “COLLECTA PHILATELIC PUBLISHERS LTD LONDON PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN.” The stamps are mounted on paper.
