A Collection of Football Cigarette and Trading Cards, with Related Memorabilia
A substantial collection of football (soccer) cigarette and trading cards, ranging from vintage to more modern. The collection includes several green display boards featuring numerous individual player photographic cards, with notable names such as Bobby Charlton, George Best, and Paul Gascoigne. Also present are a reddish-brown leatherette-bound album, a clear plastic storage bin filled with additional cards and ephemera in protective plastic sleeves (some bearing text like “CLASSICAL TIMES / Stars of Today” and “FOOTBALL TIMES”), and a ring-binder album containing plastic-sleeved Premier League cards specific to Arsenal FC players, including David Seaman and Ian Wright. Further historical context is provided by a large print depicting “BARROW AFC, Holker Street” and commemorating their “UNION LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CHAMPIONS 1920-21.” Constructed primarily from paper, cardboard, plastic, and leatherette.
