A Wooden St. George / Knight Templar Toy Sword and Shield Set, and a Collection of Further Wooden Folk Art Items
Comprising a wooden St. George / Knight Templar toy sword and shield set, the paddle-shaped shield featuring a prominent red cross painted on its surface and two white pegs, accompanied by a miniature wooden sword with a green string-wrapped hilt. Also included are a multi-colored beaded abacus, an open wooden box with faintly painted letters (possibly ‘B’ and ‘A’) inside, and a rectangular wooden game box containing eight small, turned wooden barrels and a small wooden ball. All pieces are crafted from natural finished wood and exhibit a rustic, possibly mid-20th century, style. Several items bear numeric inventory stickers, including ‘4’, ’92’, and ’93’.
