A Late 19th / Early 20th Century Flame Mahogany Veneer Two-Door Cabinet
Constructed of mahogany or a similar dark wood veneer, this two-door cabinet features highly figured flame grain patterns on its door panels. Each door is further adorned with a fine contrasting stringing inlay outlining a shaped, scalloped panel. The cabinet stands on four tapered, reeded or fluted legs and displays decorative molding along its top and base. It is fitted with two mismatched metal knobs, one appearing silver-toned and the other gold-toned. The overall aesthetic suggests a traditional or classical revival style, consistent with a late 19th or early 20th century dating. It is possibly designed as a drinks cabinet.
