Lot 432: Vintage Hardshell Vanity Case with Floral Pattern
A vintage hardshell vanity or overnight train case constructed from a teal-coloured textured composite or plastic material. The exterior features a repetitive white floral vine pattern depicting roses and leaves arranged in three horizontal bands across the main body. The case is designed with rounded corners and two matching cream-coloured plastic carry handles. The lid and base are joined by a continuous integrated hinge, and the opening mechanism is flush with the frame. A small white and orange adhesive sticker is present on one handle, bearing the hand-written numerals 26 26 and 432. The interior is not visible.
Condition report:
The item is in poor, uncleaned condition. There is a heavy accumulation of grey dust, grit, and organic debris across the entire exterior, most notably on the top surface and around the handle attachments (photo 1). Cobwebs are visible clinging to the base and handles. The white floral pattern shows signs of surface wear and fading in several areas. The structural integrity of the shell and handles appears intact, though the case requires professional cleaning and restoration.
