Lot 360: A Jointed Teddy Edwards Hand Stitched Teddy Bear
A traditional hand-stitched artist teddy bear constructed from golden-brown mohair plush. The bear is fully jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips, allowing for varied posing. It features amber and black plastic safety eyes, a hand-stitched black yarn nose, and a matching stitched mouth on a light-coloured fabric muzzle. The paw and foot pads are finished in a contrasting brown felt material. A white fabric label is machine-stitched onto the sole of the right foot. It features a red graphic of a seated bear followed by brown text reading Teddy Edwards in a cursive script, and HAND STITCHED BEARS in uppercase block lettering below. An orange adhesive price sticker is present on the sole of the left foot, bearing the handwritten number 360.
Condition report:
The bear is in good overall condition. The mohair plush shows minor matting consistent with handling (photo 1). The fabric label on the right foot pad has a small area of fraying at the left edge where the white interior stuffing is visible (photo 2). There is a light accumulation of surface dust throughout the plush.
