Lot 497: A Vintage Desktop Computer Workstation with CRT Monitor, Epson Printer, and Peripherals on Trolley
A complete vintage desktop computer workstation from the late 1990s or early 2000s, configured for the United Kingdom market. The lot includes a mini-tower PC housed in a beige plastic and metal case, featuring a front-mounted 52x CD-ROM drive and a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive. The tower is accompanied by a CRT monitor, currently protected by a clear plastic dust cover. Printing is provided by an Epson Stylus Color inkjet printer, which bears a printed blue and silver label on the front panel reading EPSON STYLUS COLOR.
The peripherals consist of a beige mechanical-style wired keyboard and a white wired mouse. The mouse features a printed grey logo on the palm rest reading LOGITECH. Audio is provided by a single powered desktop speaker with a grey fabric grille and beige housing. The entire system is mounted on a grey-painted metal two-tier computer trolley equipped with four plastic casters and a sliding keyboard tray. The equipment retains various connection leads, including a parallel printer cable and a power lead fitted with a UK standard fused 3-pin plug. A hand-written paper note is attached to the side of the PC tower with adhesive tape. No data wiping has been performed; internal specifications for the processor, RAM, and hard drive are unknown.
Condition report:
The equipment is in used vintage condition and has not been tested for functionality (photo 1). The beige plastic housings on the PC tower, printer, and monitor show visible age-related yellowing and discoloration. Dust accumulation is present across all components and the trolley frame. A hand-written paper note is taped to the side of the PC tower (photo 1). The speaker fabric appears intact. The monitor remains untested under its plastic cover. The metal trolley shows minor surface scuffs to the grey finish.
