Lot 445: A Specialized Allez Aluminum Alloy Road Bicycle
A Specialized Allez road bicycle featuring a white-painted aluminum alloy frame with black and multi-coloured accents. The down tube bears the printed black capitalised name SPECIALIZED, and the top tube features the name ALLEZ in a stylized black font. A multi-coloured band decal is applied to the seat tube. The bicycle is equipped with drop handlebars wrapped in black grip tape. The drivetrain consists of a double crankset with external cable routing and a rear derailleur. The braking system comprises front and rear rim-style caliper brakes. The bicycle is fitted with a black Specialized brand road saddle and includes two black plastic water bottle cages attached to the frame. The wheels are mismatched, comprising a front Shimano rim with a Schwalbe Durano E-Tape tyre and a rear rim marked S500 fitted with a generic road tyre. The bicycle is equipped with clip-in style pedals.
Condition report:
The bicycle is in poor to fair condition with evidence of storage in a damp environment. The drive chain and rear cassette exhibit heavy surface rust (photo 1). Significant oxidation and corrosion are visible on the crank arms and front derailleur (photo 1). The handlebar tape is frayed, peeling, and shows significant deterioration (photo 1). The white paint on the frame displays surface dirt and minor scuffs consistent with use. The front tyre appears to be deflated. A full mechanical service and replacement of rusted components is recommended before use.
