Lot 381: A Pair of Telescopic Spinning Fishing Rods and Reels
A pair of telescopic spinning rods and two open-face spinning reels. The first rod is finished in a blue and black colour scheme, featuring a series of line guides, a black EVA foam handle, and a large orange spherical float rigged to the line. The second rod is of a similar telescopic construction with a black finish and black EVA foam grip. Both rods are equipped with black open-face spinning reels. One reel spool features a printed mark with the characters 264666 HOO and smaller specifications including 0.18/165 0.20/140. The body of the reels bears the printed text GEARRADIO 5.5:1, indicating the gear ratio. The rods are constructed from composite or fiberglass blanks with plastic and metal components used for the reel housings and bail arms.
Condition report:
The items show signs of significant use and storage wear throughout. The foam handles on both rods exhibit surface wear and indentations. There is visible dust and surface grime across all components. Light surface oxidation is present on the metal bail arms and screws of the reels. The fishing line is old and appears to have lost its integrity, requiring replacement. The mechanical functionality of the telescopic sections and the reel internal mechanisms have not been tested.
