Lot 375: A Collection of Assorted Gardening Tools and a Boxed Air Technology Component
An assortment of domestic gardening and maintenance tools, constructed from steel, aluminum, plastic, rubber, and wood. The collection includes a pair of bypass-style loppers featuring silver-toned metal handles and black-and-orange plastic grips; the metal handle is printed with the maker’s name Wilkinson Sword. A second pair of long-handled loppers is also included, along with a pair of teal-handled hand shears. The lot contains a hand saw with a blue plastic handle and a smaller saw with a wooden handle. Also present is a pointed metal hand trowel with a green plastic handle and a black zippered soft pouch. The collection is accompanied by a white cardboard box for an Italian-made ventilation component; the box is printed with a blue and black logo reading O.ERRE and technology dell’aria, further marked with the size 15/6.
Condition report:
The tools are in used condition with signs of significant wear and exposure consistent with age and storage. The metal blades of the trowel and saw show heavy surface oxidation and rust (photo 1). The plastic and rubber handles on the loppers and shears exhibit scuffing, surface dirt, and general wear (photo 1). The cardboard box for the O.ERRE component shows creasing, edge wear, and staining (photo 1). The mechanical function of the cutting tools has not been tested.
