Lot 332: Two Plush Teddy Bears and a Framed Wildlife Print
This lot features two plush teddy bears and a piece of framed artwork. The first teddy bear is a plush Me to You Tatty Teddy, constructed with shaggy grey synthetic fur. It features a light blue plastic nose and light grey fabric patches on the head and torso with dark grey stitched detailing. The sole of the left foot is embroidered with black thread reading Me to You. The second teddy bear is constructed from golden-brown plush fur and wears a red and green tartan-patterned fabric vest, fastened at the neck with a mauve-coloured satin bow. It has dark plastic eyes and a dark flocked nose. A circular white cardboard hangtag is attached to the right ear, featuring a lion graphic and printed text reading PLUSHPALS’ GIFT TOYS and the number 16. A bright orange price sticker reading 3.32 is adhered to this hangtag. A white fabric manufacturer’s label is visible at the base, though the text is not legible from the provided angle. The lot is completed by a framed and glazed print depicting a dormouse on a branch with autumnal leaves. The image is presented within a double mount consisting of an olive green outer mat and a thin dark inner border. The rectangular wooden frame has a dark finish with a thin gold-toned inner slip.
Condition report:
All items appear to be in good condition. The Me to You bear shows no visible signs of wear to the fur or embroidery (photo 1). The golden-brown bear retains its original retail hangtag, which shows some minor creasing, and the plush fur and fabric vest appear clean and intact (photo 1). The framed print appears secure within the frame; the glazing is intact and the matting shows no signs of foxing or water damage (photo 1). Some light dust is visible on the upper edge of the frame.
