Lot 249: A Collection of Shoe Trees, a Chrome Plated Air Horn, and Retail Display Accessories
A diverse collection of household and utility items. The lot includes several pairs of grey plastic shoe trees featuring spring-loaded metal mechanisms and perforated toe sections. Included is a large, trumpet-shaped air horn constructed from polished chrome-plated metal, terminating in a tiered circular base. Also present is a long, slender chrome-plated metal rod with a multi-pronged circular wire frame at one end. The lot further contains a rectangular wooden display block featuring a red felt-covered top surface, alongside an assortment of black plastic brackets, metal clips, and white wire frame components suitable for retail or domestic shelving. A cardboard box in the background shows the letters B, A, and S printed vertically in black, though this is part of the external packaging and not an identification mark for the contents. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or manufacturer labels are visible on the individual items.
Condition report:
The items are in a used condition and are stored loosely within a worn cardboard box. The chrome-plated air horn and metal rod show visible surface scratches and areas of minor tarnishing across the polished surfaces (photo 1). The grey plastic shoe trees exhibit light surface scuffing. The red felt on the wooden display block shows signs of wear and fraying at the corners and edges (photo 1). Dust and fine debris are present across the collection.
