Three storage baskets of differing sizes and finishes. The larger foreground item is a rectangular wicker hamper with a lid, finished in a weathered grey wash. It is constructed from woven natural fibres over a rigid skeletal frame with horizontal weaving. The lid is secured by two white leather-effect strap hinges at the rear. The second, smaller basket in the background is rectangular with a matching lid and a natural, unpainted wicker finish, featuring a twisted rope-style weave. A white rectangular adhesive label is visible on the lid of the smaller basket reading 13 13. An orange rectangular adhesive label is attached to the side of the same basket reading 241. A blue and white tin with the word DUR and BEGINNERS is visible at the base of the frame.
Condition report:
The grey wicker hamper shows some minor displacement of the horizontal weave on the lid, but remains structurally intact (photo 1). The white strap hinges show slight creasing consistent with opening and closing (photo 1). The smaller natural-finished basket shows some fraying to the fibres along the top edge of the base (photo 1). No significant breaks or losses to the wicker work are visible in the provided image.
