A collection of assorted vintage kitchenalia and ceramic tableware. The lot includes a group of nested stoneware glazed in cream and brown tones, featuring several bowls of graduated sizes and two plates. The set is accompanied by four smaller ceramic bowls with white, green, and blue rims, and two terracotta-coloured earthenware bowls. Included is a tall, two-tone cream and brown glazed ceramic crock used as a utensil jar. The jar contains a variety of kitchen tools, including wooden spoons, a black plastic slotted spatula, a metal wire whisk, and a stainless steel mesh sieve. Partially visible in the background is a large ceramic vessel decorated with a brown and yellow floral pattern. No maker marks or country of origin stamps are legible on the bodies of the ceramics. A small white adhesive label with the number 7 is affixed to the side of the cream and brown crock. Another orange adhesive label with the handwritten number 216 is visible on one of the nested plates.
Condition report:
The items are in used, vintage condition. Surface wear and light scratching consistent with domestic use are visible across the stoneware and the plastic spatula (photo 1). The wooden spoons exhibit darkening and staining from use. A small chip is visible on the rim of the smallest nested brown bowl (photo 1). The metal mesh of the sieve appears intact without significant denting.
