A collection of eleven pieces of cut lead crystal glassware, comprising two distinct sets. The group includes six tall highball glasses and five smaller old fashioned tumblers. All pieces are crafted from clear, heavy lead crystal with a straight-sided, cylindrical form. The glasses are decorated with a traditional brilliant-style cut pattern consisting of a broad band of deep-cut criss-cross diamonds around the lower section, surmounted by a single row of etched eight-point stars. The underside of each base features a deeply incised radiating sunburst or starburst motif. The rims are fire-polished. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the glass. There are two adhesive labels present: a white rectangular sticker reading 12 12 and an orange rectangular sticker reading 105.
Condition report:
The glassware appears in overall very good condition. The crystal remains clear and bright with no visible signs of clouding or glass sickness. The polished rims appear smooth and free from significant chips across the collection (viewed from multiple angles in the primary image). There are no visible cracks or deep scratches. The sharp edges of the diamond cuts appear well-defined, though as is typical with hand-cut glass, minor micro-flea bites may be present upon close physical inspection.
