Lot 43: A fine porcelain teal green and gold tone bird decorated individual teapot
A cylindrical fine porcelain individual teapot featuring a straight-sided body, a curved white spout, and a white C-shaped handle. The exterior is decorated with a vibrant teal green ground featuring transfer-printed golden-yellow trees and perched birds in shades of pink, orange, and blue. The design is characteristic of the Chelsea collection. The upper rim is finished with a gold-tone gilded edge. The interior is white. The base of the teapot is not visible, and no maker’s marks or signatures are discernable from the provided image. A small white label inside the box shows the numbers 6 6. The teapot is presented in a grey cardboard box with a patterned green and gold border visible on the inner rim.
Condition report:
The teapot appears to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the ceramic body or spout (photo 1). The transfer-printed decoration and the gilding on the rim appear intact and well-preserved. Note that the teapot is missing its lid (photo 1).
