Lot 535: A contemporary silver-painted metal and glass console table with Gothic-inspired arched frieze
A contemporary console table constructed from silver-painted metal with a rectangular clear glass top featuring polished edges. The glass top is inset into the metal frame. The frieze is decorated with a continuous openwork motif of slender pointed arches, providing an architectural aesthetic. The metal frame has a weathered or distressed silver-toned finish. The table stands on four square-profile legs, which are joined near the floor by a rectangular perimeter stretcher. Each foot is fitted with a small circular levelling glide. Two rectangular adhesive labels, one yellow and one orange, are affixed to the glass top; however, the characters on these labels are not legible.
Condition report:
The table is in good overall condition. There are scattered minor scuffs and small chips to the silver-toned paint finish, particularly on the lower legs and horizontal stretcher (photo 1). The glass top shows light surface scratches consistent with use and has some adhesive residue present from the labels (photo 1). The glass top appears free of major chips or cracks.
