Lot 618: A Votsi's Jewellery 18 Carat Gold and Aquamarine Cocktail Ring
A Greek modernist signet-style cocktail ring crafted from 18 carat gold. The ring features a substantial, tapering band culminating in a square head which holds a flush-set square-cut aquamarine. The interior of the shank features three impressed marks: a rectangular punch reading 750, a second impressed rectangular punch reading VOTSI, and a smaller impressed rectangular punch containing a Greek state hallmark in the form of an owl. The ring is accompanied by a printed card from Votsi’s Jewellery, Hydra, Greece, which includes handwritten notes identifying the materials as 18 carat gold and aquamarine, and records a weight of 20.10g.

Condition report:
The gold surfaces of the band and head show visible surface scratches, scuffs, and minor nicks consistent with regular use (photos 1, 2, and 3). The aquamarine appears clear and securely set within the mount.
