Lot 427: An Assortment of Miscellaneous Picture Frames
An assortment of various picture frames constructed from wood, metal, and composite materials. The group features several traditional gold-toned frames, including one with a rope-twist border and another with a bevelled profile. A modern wide-profile white frame is present, containing a white rectangular paper label with a black border reading COLLECTIONS / PICTURE FRAME / 4 X 6 (INCH). The collection also includes a frame with a geometric wood inlay; the brown reverse backing board of this frame shows handwritten digits in black ink reading 212604922. Other items include a deep-profile light wood frame and several dark-toned frames. Many of the frames retain their glass inserts.
Condition report:
The collection is in a varied, used condition. Surface dust and minor scuffs are present throughout the lot (photo 1). Some frames exhibit abrasions to the edges and surfaces (photo 1). Several items appear to be missing glass inserts or backing components (photo 1).
