An assortment of vintage hand tools and household items presented within a branded wooden wine crate. The crate is constructed from wood and features black stamped lettering on the side reading CHATEAU LEOVILLE BARTON, ST-JULIEN – MEDOC, 1994, L.001194, and 12 Blles. An end panel bears a yellow adhesive warehouse label printed with 9807767B, PRODUCT: 2700884B CH LEOVILLE BARTON S, ST JULIEN 94 12/75 BOTTLES, and DATE W/H: 03-JUN-03 MICHAEL SMITH. Handwritten markings on this label include a price estimate of 20-30. The collection includes several hand tools such as ball-peen and cross-peen hammers, an axe or hatchet head, various metal files and rasps, a pair of pliers, and loose wooden replacement handles. Also included is a large wooden spoon, a roll of adhesive tape with a printed core reading E-TAPE, and a circular metal sieve or garden riddle featuring a black painted rim and wire mesh.
Condition report:
The items are in used, secondary-market condition (photo 1). The metal tool heads show varying degrees of surface oxidation and rust throughout (photo 1). Wooden handles exhibit staining and wear consistent with age and practical use (photo 1). The wine crate shows signs of weathering, surface dirt, and includes a contemporary adhesive label (photo 1). The mesh of the sieve appears intact but shows some surface wear to the black painted rim (photo 1). The mechanical condition of tools has not been tested.
