A pair of hand-crafted wooden bookends, each featuring a stylised model of an early 20th-century vintage automobile. The pieces are constructed from multiple elements of wood stained in contrasting amber and dark brown tones, finished with a high-gloss varnish and mounted on L-shaped wooden bases. The models exhibit slight decorative variations: the vehicle on the left features a single headlight detail, while the vehicle on the right is fitted with a side-mounted horn. The upright support of the right-hand bookend bears a small orange rectangular adhesive label with the handwritten characters 2811. Directly above this label is a small rectangular patch of orange adhesive residue. No other marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
Visible condition issues include scattered scuffs and small chips to the wood, most notably along the edges of the bases (photo 1). The high-gloss varnished finish shows signs of general wear and light surface scratching consistent with use.
