Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A group of two studio ceramic items comprising a wall-mounting relief plaque and a rectangular vessel. The plaque is constructed from a thick, hand-formed stoneware slab and depicts the mythological three-headed hound Cerberus. The central figure is rendered in relief with three distinct heads finished in black, dark red-brown, and cream glazes. The central head features a prominent skeletal rib cage and open jaws with white-glazed teeth. An applied rectangular ceramic cartouche is incised with the text CERBERUS. The background of the plaque is finished in mottled, earthy glazes with swirling, stone-like textures. Two small suspension holes are located at the upper edges for wall mounting. The plaque bears an orange adhesive label reading 282 and a white adhesive label reading 7. The second piece is a rectangular ceramic vessel with a coarse, textured brown stoneware body decorated with three horizontal, undulating black bands. No artist signatures or maker marks are visible on either piece.

Condition report:

Both pieces appear to be in good condition. The Cerberus plaque shows minor scuffs and small chips along the irregular, hand-formed perimeter edges (photo 1 and photo 2). The rectangular vessel shows no visible cracks or major losses in the provided images (photo 3).
