Buyer's Premium:

A collection of specialist militaria reference books focusing on badges and edged weapons, primarily issued as softcover trade paperbacks. The lot includes a volume with a dark blue cover titled Military Badge Collecting by John Gaylor, identified as the New and revised sixth edition. This book features a grid of twelve red squares with badge illustrations and is housed in a clear plastic sleeve. Another volume, World Bayonets to the Present by Anthony Carter, has a blue cover illustrated with bayonets and bears a yellow adhesive label reading WITH 1984/85 PRICE GUIDE. The collection includes Swords & Daggers: An Illustrated Reference for Collectors with a grey cover and a black adhesive label reading WITH 1985/86 PRICE GUIDE. British Army Collar Badges: 1881 to the Present by Churchill and Westlake is present, featuring a brown cover and a yellow adhesive label reading WITH 1987/88 PRICE GUIDE. Also included are two editions of a British Army badge guide: one with an ochre cover bearing a yellow adhesive label reading WITH 1983/84 PRICE GUIDE, and another with an olive green cover featuring a skull and crossbones badge and a yellow adhesive label reading WITH 1980/81 PRICE GUIDE.


Condition report:

Rubbing and shelf wear are visible along the edges and corners of the softcover bindings throughout the collection (photo 2). Several volumes exhibit adhesive promotional stickers applied directly to the front covers (photo 2). The Gaylor edition is contained within a clear plastic outer sleeve (photo 1). Light spine creasing is present on several volumes (photo 2). No significant internal damage or foxing is visible from the exterior inspection.
