Lot 99: An Assortment of Silver-Plated and Cut-Glass Tableware
This lot comprises a collection of five items of silver-plated and cut-glass tableware. The collection includes a four-bottle cruet set featuring a rectangular silver-plated stand with rounded corners, a central loop handle, and four ball feet. The stand holds four faceted cut-glass condiment bottles, two of which are fitted with silver-plated shaker tops. There is a large globular cut-glass rose bowl with a deep diamond pattern, fitted with a silver-plated rim embossed with a foliate scroll design and a matching wire mesh frog. It sits on a separate circular silver-plated footed base with a corresponding embossed border. An orange adhesive label is visible on the exterior of the bowl. The lot also contains an ornate circular silver-plated lidded serving dish with a dome lid heavily decorated with chased and embossed scrolling foliate and shell motifs, paired with a matching circular underplate. Condition report:
All metal components exhibit surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age and use. The four-bottle cruet set is incomplete, missing two stoppers or lids for the open bottles. The plain lidded dish shows light surface scratching to the dome lid. Adhesive residue and an orange sticker are present on the exterior of the large cut-glass rose bowl. The glass components appear intact without visible chips or cracks in the provided image.
