Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises several works primarily focused on 20th-century military history and literature. The group includes One of the Originals: The Story of a Founder Member of the SAS by Johnny Cooper, a hardcover volume with a dust jacket featuring the Special Air Service Who Dares Wins insignia. Also present is Schindlers Ark by Thomas Keneally, published by Hodder and Stoughton; this volume represents the original UK title of the work later published as Schindlers List. The collection further includes The Dam Busters by Paul Brickhill, a hardcover with a dust jacket containing a foreword by Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Tedder. A paperback edition of Defeat Into Victory: Field-Marshal Slims Account of the Burma War by Field-Marshal Viscount Slim is included. The Goebbels Diaries, edited and introduced by Hugh Trevor-Roper, is present in hardcover with its original dust jacket. Additionally, there is a red cloth-covered hardcover volume identified as Jock of the Bushveld by Sir Percy FitzPatrick, which features a distinctive black silhouette of a bull terrier on the front board.

Condition report:

The collection is in mixed condition. Hardcover volumes retaining their dust jackets generally exhibit typical shelf wear, light creasing to the edges, and minor surface marking. The dust jacket for the SAS volume shows light creasing at the top edge. The paperback edition of Defeat Into Victory shows significant wear with heavy creasing, rubbing, and edge tears to the covers. The red cloth-bound volume shows advanced surface staining, rubbing, and wear to the board edges.
