Lot 295: A Group of four vintage aluminium domestic kitchen kettles
A group of four vintage utility kettles of varying sizes, manufactured from spun and stamped aluminium. The collection features items typical of mid-20th century domestic kitchenware, including one example with a chased floral decorative motif to the lid and shoulder. The kettles are equipped with black composite handles and lid knobs, secured with metal rivets or brackets. One lid retains a contemporary orange price sticker. While incised marks are visible on the lids and handle junctions, they are too worn to be clearly identified.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits heavy signs of age and domestic usage. Visible defects include surface oxidation, pitting, and significant mineral scale deposits to the spouts and internal surfaces. There are numerous minor dings, dents, and surface scuffs across the aluminium bodies. One spout shows notable wear or damage to the tip. The composite handles are dull with surface wear and minor grime accumulation.
