Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises a collection of approximately 50 to 100 records including 10-inch and 12-inch 78rpm shellac discs and 12-inch vinyl LPs, housed in two large cardboard boxes. The collection focuses on mid-20th century popular music, big band, and vocalists. Identifiable items include a Columbia 78rpm record by Eddie Calvert (The Man with the Golden Trumpet) performing Roses of Picardy (catalogue number D.B. 3581) and a Glenn Miller In The Mood compilation LP on the Contour label. Other artists and titles visible on the spines include Frankie Vaughan, 101 Strings, Pilgrim King, and Down Drury Lane to Memory Lane. Many of the 78rpm records are kept in period brown paper sleeves, some bearing handwritten dates including 20/4/56.

Condition report:

Media: Not play-tested. 78rpm shellac discs are visually G to VG with surface dust and light scuffing. Vinyl LPs appear G to VG with standard signs of play and handling. Sleeves and Jackets: Paper sleeves for the 78rpm records exhibit significant tanning, creasing, and edge wear. LP jackets show shelf wear, edge rubbing, and bumped corners; notably, the Glenn Miller jacket on the Contour label has a large area of surface loss and tearing to the lower front panel.
