Lot 720: A Richards of Sheffield Mini-Kit Pocket Knife Tool Set in Original Pouch
A Richards of Sheffield Mini-Kit pocket tool set. The kit comprises a two-blade folding pen knife featuring cream-coloured synthetic handles, possibly celluloid, with a small metal bolster and a plain shield inlay. Accompanying the knife are three separate steel tools: a combination crown cork bottle opener and hooked can piercer, a flathead screwdriver, and a Phillips-head recessed screwdriver. The set is presented in its original red vinyl folding pouch with clear plastic interior sleeves. Included is the original cardboard box base which contains a printed instruction leaflet titled How to Use New Type Can Opener. The leaflet provides guidance on the use of the kit components and mentions the included recessed screwdriver.
Condition report:
The kit is in vintage, used condition. The steel components, including the knife blades and individual tools, exhibit visible surface tarnish and areas of light oxidation consistent with age.
