Lot 680: A Pair of Vintage White Painted Wicker Armchairs with Lattice-Back Detail
A pair of vintage wicker armchairs finished in white paint. Each chair features a high, flared backrest with a decorative horizontal band of open-lattice work incorporating three ‘X’ motifs. The integrated armrests curve down to meet a solid-woven seat. The chairs are built upon a woven frame base. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
The chairs are in worn condition with significant loss to the white painted finish, including scuffing and chipping across the arms, backrests, and legs. The underlying wicker material appears structurally sound with no major areas of breakage or unravelling evident in the primary weave.
