A pair of Capodimonte hand-painted porcelain figurines depicting elderly, rustic men. The figures are modelled in a highly detailed and expressive style typical of 20th-century Italian Capodimonte production. One figure depicts a man seated by a tree trunk in a terracotta-coloured shirt and tattered hat. The other depicts a man in a striped shirt and dark waistcoat seated against a rustic fence. The figures feature a matte bisque finish to the porcelain, set upon glazed rococo scrollwork bases. One base includes a moulded mark of a crowned letter N. A paper certificate of guarantee is attached to one figure, confirming the items were handcrafted in Italy.
Condition report:
Both figurines appear to be in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. Minor surface dust and adhesive price labels are present on the bases. The paper certificate is slightly creased.
