Lot 638: George III Oak Tripod Side Table
A George III style tripod side table constructed from solid oak with a dark stained finish. The circular top is of two-plank construction, displaying prominent medullary ray grain patterns. The tabletop is supported by a central turned pedestal column which terminates in three cabriole legs. Two contemporary paper labels are present on the tabletop surface, one being a white rectangular label marked 25.25.
Condition report:
A prominent dark circular stain is located on the right side of the tabletop surface. There is a visible gap and slight unevenness at the join where the two planks meet. General surface wear is present throughout, including scratches, small indentations, and finish loss primarily around the outer edge. The pedestal and legs show minor scuffs and marks consistent with age and use.
