Lot 616: Modern Country-Style Solid Pine Two-Over-Three Chest of Drawers
A modern country-style chest of drawers constructed from solid pine with a warm honey-toned finish. The unit is designed in a traditional configuration of two short drawers over three long drawers. Each drawer front features applied raised panel mouldings and is fitted with simple turned wooden knobs. The carcass includes side panels with a decorative scalloped or curved profile at the base. Solid pine is used for the primary construction throughout.
Condition report:
The chest is in used condition and shows signs of wear consistent with age and domestic use. There is a significant vertical drying split visible on the front of the top-left short drawer. The surface exhibits scattered scratches, scuffs, and minor dings. Notable white splatter marks, possibly paint or cleaning residue, are present on the lower long drawer fronts. There is general wear and thinning to the finish along the edges of the drawer fronts and carcass. The piece requires cleaning to remove extensive dust accumulation and cobwebs visible in the recesses.
