Lot 419a: Jacobean Revival Oak Folding Card Table with Barley Twist Legs
An early 20th-century Jacobean revival folding card table, constructed from oak with a medium brown finish. The circular top features an inset green baize playing surface surrounded by a moulded oak rim. The base consists of a folding frame with four barley-twist legs joined by rectangular stretchers. The mechanism allows the top to tilt and the gate-leg to fold flat for storage. Small white adhesive stickers are present on the top and underside.
Condition report:
The table is in fair used condition. The green baize surface shows significant signs of age and wear, including staining, pilling, and several small holes. The oak frame has general surface wear, including scuffs, scratches, and minor indentations consistent with regular use. The finish is dull and would benefit from a wax polish. The folding mechanism is functional.
