Lot 338: A Collection of Jouef, Hornby Railways, and Lima OO Gauge Model Railway Items
A collection of vintage OO gauge model railway locomotives, rolling stock, and accessories from manufacturers Jouef, Hornby Railways, and Lima. The group includes a Jouef Railways electric train set featuring a British Rail Inter-City 125 High Speed Train in blue and yellow livery, complete with track sections. Also present are several individual Jouef coaches in original blue, red, and white retail packaging, some bearing labels for British Standard Couplings. Hornby Railways items include a boxed Goods Shed and several rolling stock units in red and yellow boxes. A single Lima models rolling stock item is included in a red box. The items are constructed with plastic bodies, die-cast metal wheels and chassis components, and metal track. Visible markings include the stylized Jouef logo, Hornby Railways OO Gauge Scale Models text, and the Lima Models brand mark. The collection is housed within an outer cardboard container.
Condition report:
The items are in used, vintage condition. The original retail packaging shows varying degrees of shelf wear, including corner scuffing, edge crushing, and surface abrasions. The large Jouef Inter-City 125 set box shows significant creasing and wear to the corners. Cellophane windows on the boxes remain largely intact though some show minor scuffing and dust. Locomotives and rolling stock appear in good cosmetic condition through the box windows, retaining original paint and decals. The electrical and mechanical functionality of the train set and individual units has not been tested.
