A group lot comprising three vintage dolls presented within a woven wicker cradle. The first doll, positioned to the left, is a character doll of composition or hard plastic construction featuring a brown curly synthetic wig and side-glancing eyes. It is dressed in a white knitted cardigan over a yellow and white patterned dress. The central doll is a large baby doll with a bisque head, moulded hair, painted blue eyes, and a closed mouth. It wears a pink hand-knitted bolero cardigan over a white knitted romper and matching booties. The third doll, to the right, features a vinyl or hard plastic head with moulded hair and blue sleep eyes with eyelashes, dressed in a blue knitted sweater and white knitted trousers. The lot includes a woven wicker rocking cradle.
Condition report:
The dolls exhibit signs of age and play wear. The central bisque-headed doll shows significant surface scuffing and paint loss, particularly to the forehead and face. The vinyl-headed doll on the right has minor facial scuffs. The knitted clothing appears dusty with some loose threads and evidence of handling. The wicker cradle is structurally sound with light surface wear and a numbered orange sticker attached to one side.
