Lot 247: A Collection of Vinyl LPs and 7 Inch EPs Including Slim Whitman and Jim Reeves
A large collection of approximately 100 to 150 vinyl records, comprising 12-inch LPs and 7-inch EPs. The assortment primarily features mid-20th-century popular music, country and western, and 1970s pop. Notable identifiable items include Slim Whitman 15th Anniversary Album on the Liberty label and a Jim Reeves 7-inch EP titled From The Heart Volume 2, released on RCA Victor (mono RCX-7145). The Jim Reeves EP includes the tracks Nothing To Me, Mighty Everglades, and The Fool’s Paradise. Other visible spines include the 1970s pop group The Rubettes. The collection is housed in two large cardboard boxes, one marked IKEA and the other a StorePAK large eco box. Also included is a vintage record storage folder with a distressed green cover and orange floral illustrations.
Condition report:
Sleeves are generally in fair to good vintage condition, showing typical signs of wear such as corner bumping, edge scuffing, surface creasing, and various adhesive price stickers. The green floral record storage folder is heavily distressed with significant loss and tearing to the spine and edges. The vinyl discs are uncollated and have not been removed from their sleeves for individual inspection; the media is sold as found and is unguided as to surface condition or playability.
