Buyer's Premium:

A collection of volumes focused on the topography, history, and local dialect of Yorkshire. Notable titles include Yorksher Puddin by John Hartley, bound in dark green cloth with decorative stamping; Yorkshire by J. Dixon-Scott, in blue cloth with gilt lettering; and Yorkshire Revealed by G. Douglas Bolton, which retains its original pictorial dust jacket. The assortment also contains The Yorkshire Dales by Jessica Lofthouse, Yorkshire Heritage, and Yorkshire Tour, alongside several older half-leather and cloth-bound volumes. Publishers represented include Frederick Warne and Oliver and Boyd. The collection comprises a variety of regional literature, local history, and topographical photography from the late Victorian period through to the mid-20th century.


Condition report:

The collection is in mixed condition. Bindings show typical signs of use including bumped corners, rubbed edges, and fading to the spines. Several older volumes exhibit significant wear and loss to the spine leather or cloth. The dust jacket for Yorkshire Revealed is heavily worn with significant tears and losses. Internal pages are expected to show age-toning and occasional foxing consistent with the age of the materials.
