Buyer's Premium:

A collection of vintage maps, pamphlets, and paper ephemera relating to topographical and maritime interests. Principal items include a Bartholomews One Inch Map of the Lake District, printed and published by John Bartholomew and Son Ltd, Edinburgh, featuring green card covers with a printed price of Cloth, 4/6 Net. Also present is an informational guide for HMS Warrior 1860, Victory Gate, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, and a National Geographic Society supplement titled The Making of America: Ohio Valley. The lot contains various other topographical maps such as Grange-over-Sands and a California regional road map showing Geyserville and Calistoga, alongside a commemorative booklet by The Very Reverend H. C. N. Williams. The items feature mid-20th-century graphic design and typography.


Condition report:

The collection shows general signs of age-related wear typical for paper ephemera. Visible condition issues include edge tanning and foxing to several items, minor creasing to corners, and fraying along the spines of folded maps and booklets. The Bartholomew map cover displays visible tanning and wear along the spine. Surface dust is present throughout the lot.
