Lot 142: A Pair of Cut Lead Crystal Jugs
A pair of heavy-gauge cut lead crystal jugs featuring different decorative patterns. The first jug is of squat, wide-mouthed form with a thick, applied handle. Its body is decorated with broad, deep-cut wedge facets forming a radiating starburst pattern from the base. The second jug is of taller, bulbous form with a tapered neck. Its decoration consists of a central band of diamond-cut panels containing star and hobstar motifs, with vertical cuts to the neck and a starburst base. Both items exhibit high clarity and sharp, deep-cut faceting. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are visible on either piece. Each jug bears an orange rectangular label with the handwritten number 142 and a small white circular label with the printed number 2.

Condition report:
Both jugs appear to be in good condition. The crystal is bright and clear with no visible signs of cloudiness or glass sickness. No significant chips, cracks, or fleabites are apparent to the rims, spouts, or main bodies. The bases show light surface wear and minor scratches consistent with age and use.
